Bravo: Ter Stegen has quality

Claudio Bravo has praised his Barcelona teammate Marc-Andre Ter Stegen for how quickly he has settled in to Spanish football.

The pair arrived at Camp Nou this summer and are rivals to replace Victor Valdes as Barca’s first-choice goalkeeper.

Bravo has told Catalonian radio that he has been impressed by the Germany international, particularly how quickly he has adapted to his new surroundings.

“I’ve been surprised by many things about Ter Stegen. He has great quality and is already speaking Spanish,” Bravo revealed, according to Sport.

“Jordi [Masip] is also training well and knows how Barca work.”

Bravo also touched on the competition between the goalkeepers, welcoming the presence of his competitors.

“In my career I have never been a substitute because I have always started from scratch with my peers,” he continued.

“Here is a healthy competition that will help the team be as prepared as possible. I think we all have the same chance to be a starter.

“I don’t know who will start but I think we always have to be prepared to play even if we don’t start.”
