Benfica have confirmed the signing of Eliseu from Malaga for an undisclosed fee on a two-year deal.
Reports in Spain earlier this week suggested that the Portuguese champions were looking at the experienced full-back.
And after those rumours, Jorge Jesus’ men have announced the deal, with the 30-year-old admitting that now was the right time to return to his homeland.
“In these years I spent in Portugal and now Spain I evolved as a player and I want to continue,” he said.
“I'll now be trained by someone as passionate and tactical as Jorge Jesus.”
