Varane assessing Madrid options

Many of the biggest clubs around Europe are on alert this morning with reports that Raphael Varane is thought to be unsure about his future.

The Real Madrid defender missed the majority of last term with a recurring knee injury, but believes that despite a full bill of health now, chances in the starting XI may still be at a premium.

Marca claim that the youngster is worried that Carlo Ancelotti sees Sergio Ramos and Pepe as untouchable in the heart of the defence.

The France international is set to return from the World Cup later this month and will speak with the Coach to seek assurances.

If none are forthcoming however, Varane wants to leave Santiago Bernabeu – with Chelsea thought to be at the head of the queue to get his signature.
