Mundo Deportivo cite claims made on El Laguero that say Los Blancos want to keep hold of their captain but Lopez will replace Pepe Reina at San Paolo.
Lopez shares an agent with Rafael Benitez and while the goalkeeper’s departure isn’t guaranteed, it is a possibility.
Should Lopez go, he will be replaced by Kiko Casilla, a product of the Madrid cantera and welcomed by President Florentino Perez as a new arrival.
