Keylor Navas has spoken of his delight at having helped Costa Rica through to the quarter-finals of the World Cup.
Los Ticos beat Greece on penalties last night after the match finished 1-1. Navas made a decisive save in the shootout, allowing Michael Umana to convert the winning spot kick.
“It is wonderful, one of the best things to have happened in my life,” the Levante goalkeeper, named man of the match, said, according to AS.
“When I saw my teammates were confident before taking their penalties, it was a joy for me.
“We suffered a lot and played with heart and gave our lives on the pitch. We gave everything we had.”
