Valencia’s Pablo Piatti says he and his teammates are very hurt after seeing a place in the Europa League final slip through their fingers.
Los Che overturned a 2-0 first leg deficit to lead 3-2 on aggregate, only for Stephane Mbia to send Sevilla through on away goals at their expense in the 94th minute.
“I have no words,” Piatti said after the game at the Mestalla. “We feel very bad and we are very hurt.
“We tried, we gave everything and they scored against us in the last minute.
“We are pleased with the work we have done, but it didn’t amount to anything.
“I want to thank everyone who came to support us.”
