Jagoba Arrasate admitted that Sunday night’s win over Valencia was ‘very important’ for his Real Sociedad side.
Imanol Agirretxe’s second half goal gave the Erreala all three points in a 1-0 win, that kept them in touch with Athletic Bilbao in fourth place.
“It was a very important win for us,” he told a Press conference. “The stakes were high, considering we want to stay near fourth.
“I think it was a fair result. We were better in the second half and deserved the win.
“We looked a little overcome in the first half, but we came out in the second and did a lot better.
“After coming into this game with two straight losses, it was always going to be a difficult match.
“But we’ve moved on from that and will gain confidence with this win.”
