Granero’s La Real move to be concluded

Esteban Granero’s proposed move from Queens Park Rangers to Real Sociedad could be completed this week, according to reports.

Terra have claimed that the midfielder will take a dramatic wage reduction in order to join La Real this summer.

The 26-year-old currently earns €2.7m per season at the west London club, a figure far beyond the reach of the Anoeta team.

However, the former Real Madrid man is keen to play for Jagoba Arrasate’s men, and will take a wage drop for it to happen.

One sticking point however, is the terms of the deal. La Real would like to take Granero on loan for the season, with an option to buy, but manager Harry Redknapp wants to sell the Spain U21 international outright.

Whatever the outcome, the deal is likely to be resolved this week.
