Madrid cede in Higuain-Juve talks

Real Madrid have reportedly accepted Juventus’ request to pay for Gonzalo Higuain in instalments, but they are pushing for a higher total fee.

The clubs are reportedly using a meal held together ahead of this evening’s legends match between the two to discuss a possible transfer for the 25-year-old striker.

Talks are currently being held in a closed off section of restaurant Puerta 57 and involve Madrid President Florentino Perez, Juventus President Andrea Agnelli, director general Beppe Marotta and FIFA agent and intermediary Ernesto Bronzetti.

The first wave of reports to come from the meeting indicate that Juve have had their request to pay for Higuain in instalments accepted.

However, it is also believed that Madrid want to push Juve’s total fee paid up from €22m offered to at least €24m. Arsenal have reportedly offered this latter amount.
