Chelsea are reportedly prepared to offer Atletico Madrid’s Radamel Falcao a four-year contract worth a total of €46m to join them this coming summer.
The Colombian has been linked with moves a number of clubs in the past year, including most notably the Stamford Bridge outfit.
Reports this week in Britain have it that The Blues’ interest is genuine and that they are preparing a bumper contract of €11.6m a year - £10m - to entice Falcao to join them for 2013-14.
On top of this, the club are believed ready to fund a €58m - £50m - transfer fee to tempt Atletico to release him.
Falcao, who scored a hat-trick against Chelsea in the UEFA Super Cup Final at the start of this season, has a buyout clause of €60m.
