Reyes senses Sevilla glory

Jose Antonio Reyes is adamant that Sevilla will overcome Atletico Madrid and make it to the Copa del Rey Final this week.

Los Nervionenses host Atleti in the second leg of their Cup semi-final on Wednesday, 2-1 down from the first leg.

For Reyes, it is an opportunity to edge towards a trophy that his team will take.

“To me it would be the most beautiful thing and I hope that, God willing, we will do well this year and that we can reach the final this year, and achieve our goal of playing in Europe next season,” commented the forward to AS today.

“I dream of lifting a trophy and now we are very close if we consider the tie on Wednesday against Atletico.

“In a game, anything can happen. I’m no going to have to wait [for a trophy], it will be this time, certainly.

“To progress to the final would be a very important step for the dressing room, for rescuing our season.

“We have to not concede and we have to score fast, to play our game and decide the game. That is the key to reaching the final.”
