Barcelona defender Eric Abidal has been given the all-clear by doctors to play again after undergoing two liver operations.
The France international has had a pair of operations over the past 18 months after he was diagnosed in 2011 with having a tumour on his liver.
But despite both procedures being successful there have been reports over the past few months suggesting that the 33-year-old would not be able to play again.
RAC1 however, have today confirmed that Abidal has been given the okay from doctors to play again and will train fully with the first team squad.
It is yet more good news for the Catalan club as it comes in the wake of Lionel Messi, Carles Puyol and Xavi Hernandez signing new contracts at Camp Nou.
