Deportivo are continuing to work through their squad negotiating new contracts and have reportedly targeted Portuguese centre-back Ze Castro as next.
The 29-year-old is currently in the position where he will be free to talk to other clubs from January over a possible Bosman move for the summer, as his Depor contract expires in June 2013.
However, the club are reportedly opening talks with the former Atletico Madrid defender over extending his stay with them, although the details of any proposed offer remain uncertain at this stage.
Despite huge debt and the threat of bankruptcy hanging over them in the new year, Depor have already signed Laure and Alex Bergantinos to new contracts in recent weeks and are in talks with a number of other first-team players, including striker Riki.
