Barca to appeal Tito ban

Barcelona have confirmed that they will appeal Coach Tito Vilanova’s two-game ban for ‘angrily protesting a decision’ during the weekend.

The tactician was dismissed from his technical area for, as he says, having merely pointed out to the official a missed foul on Sergio Busquets during Sunday’s game at Osasuna.

However, the Competition Committee has handed him a two-match suspension for what the referee’s notes described as ‘angrily protesting a decision having previously been warned by the assistant’.

Barca have since responded via a statement on their website to confirm that they will now appeal the decision.
