Barcelona will welcome back key player from injury in time for Paris Saint-Germain showdown

Barcelona will feel that they have an excellent chance of reaching the final of this year’s Champions League, given that they have avoided the likes of Manchester City and Real Madrid on their side of the draw. However, they still face a very tough task in the quarter-final stage, where they will take on Paris Saint-Germain.

It will be tough, but by no means impossible for Xavi Hernandez’s side to progress to the last four, and their chances of doing so will be boosted because, as per Sport, Frenkie de Jong will be fully fit and available to play in the first leg, scheduled for the start of next month at the Parc des Princes.

De Jong has been sidelined since the start of this season, when he injured his ankle against Athletic Club. However, he is progressing well, and the expectation is that he will be at 100% by the time Barcelona make the trip to Paris.

It is a huge piece of good news that Barcelona will have de Jong available, as he is undoubtedly one of their most important players. They will hope that he can continue his recovery in a positive manner in the next couple of weeks.
