Sevilla’s Pizarro set for Tigres

Mexican club Tigres have reached an agreement with Sevilla for the transfer of midfielder Guido Pizarro in an €8.7m deal, say reports.

Sevilla Info cite a report in SuperDeportivo which outlines the ‘principle agreement’ for the 28-year-old, with just the breakdown of payments yet to be clarified.

The report outlines how the Mexican club wanted to pay for the deal in three separate instalments, while the Andalusian club wanted the full cash up front.

The Argentine joined Los Rojiblancos in an €8m deal from Tigres last summer, making 40 appearances and netting two goals – including a last-minute equaliser against Liverpool.

Celta Vigo and Argentine giants Boca Juniors had also publicly declared their interest in the midfielder, who has won two caps for his national side.
