Real Madrid have named a much-changed XI from their Clasico excursions for tonight’s Copa del Rey clash with Cornella.
Predictably, Carlo Ancelotti has decided to give many of his first-team stars a rest, including Iker Casillas and Cristiano Ronaldo, following the demands of last week’s 3-1 victory over Barcelona.
In total, seven changes have been made, with Keylor Navas, Raphael Varane, Nacho, Alvaro Arbeloa, Sami Khedira, Asier Illarramendi and Javier Hernandez all coming into the Blancos’ fold.
Cornella, meanwhile, have enjoyed a bright start to their Segunda B campaign, sitting seventh in the third pool, and much of the squad which beat Elche II 2-1 have been summoned again tonight.
The game is being played at Espanyol’s Cornella El Prat, next door to the minnow's usual home base.
