Koke: A tough, tactical game

Koke believes Atletico Madrid are in for a difficult encounter in the Champions League final against Real Madrid.

The sides meet tonight in Lisbon in the tournament’s concluding fixture and the midfielder has predicted a hard match.

“We’ve got our day. We’ve reached the final of the Champions League and we have a huge role to play,” AS reports the Spain international as saying.

“Having won the League and fought in the Champions League we will see how we are.

“It’s going to be a tough game and very tactical because both teams are tactical.

“They have a very good attack and we know how to defend well.

“It will be a very good game and a special final with two Madrid teams, although I hope it goes to Atletico.”

Koke added that the match will be one of the defining moments of his career at Atleti.

“I’m proud to defend this shirt. I’ve worked here for many years,” he continued.

“I wish to be in the team to defend this shirt and to give everything to win the Champions League final.

“It will be a very good atmosphere in the stands. The Atletico fans are always there making where they go and they won’t be any less important today.”
