Sevilla vs Barcelona

Two of the early season pace-setters meet in Seville on Saturday, as Barcelona face the toughest challenge so far to their 100% record.

Barcelona rivals Real Madrid were defeated in the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan in Week 4, and currently sit in seventh place. But new full-back Jordi Alba knows that they must learn from Real's experience and concentrate on solely on the Sevilla clash.

“We have an eight-point advantage [over Real Madrid], it’s important because they are a direct rival, but we have to focus on Sevilla, they are the team that have conceded the least amount of goals this season.

“Jesus Navas is a great player, he’s incredibly fast and he creates danger every match he plays in. It doesn’t matter who gets the start, we’ll try to stop him.”

Sevilla full-back Cicinho is aware however that their opponents will pose a different challenge to Real Madrid.

“It is a very difficult game, as it was against Real Madrid. We know we will have to do even more than we did against Madrid in order to take the win,” the full-back told reporters.

“Barca are the League leaders, they are a great team and we have to work harder to try to win. Michel is working on that with us. Against Real Madrid we played very well, we were marking Cristiano Ronaldo very well and did not let him do anything.

“Barcelona are different, they play very fast. Saturday’s game will be that of our lives, we must all be at our best to get the result and not to be too preoccupied with how Barcelona arrive."

Kick-off: Saturday, September 29, 8:00pm (UK time)
