Celta Vigo captain Iago Aspas is a major injury doubt for the start of the 2019-20 La Liga season.
The 32-year old endured a injury disrupted 2018-19 campaign, due to a serious calf problem, before returning to play a key role in the successful fight against relegation, with nine goals in their final nine league games.
The former Liverpool man was stretchered off in the 23rd minute of Celta's friendly match against Union Berlin with a worrying looking knee injury.
Manager Fran Escriba confirmed that his talisman would undergo tests on the injury in the coming days, however he was unable to put a date on Aspas' return to action.
