Gareth Bale wants Real Madrid farewell game

Gareth Bale wants to start against Real Betis on Sunday to say his goodbyes to Real Madrid’s fans, according to Marca.

The Welshman appears to be almost certain for a summer exit from the Spanish capital after six years, as he is seemingly surplus to requirements at the outgoing European champions.

Zinedine Zidane has reiterated his actions are “very clear” after he Gareth Bale out of the matchday squad at Real Sociedad on Sunday.

Los Blancos fell to a 3-1 defeat in Anoeta with the 29-year-old not included in the travelling party, as his exit from the club appears to be inching ever closer.

Bale has won four Champions League crowns and one La Liga title across his stint at Los Blancos but his spell appears to be ending in acrimony, as he was not included in the matchday squad for the recent win over Villarreal either.

The former Southampton man joined the Spanish giants from Tottenham in the summer of 2013 and has enjoyed many memorable moments at the club, including netting twice from the bench in last summer’s Champions League final victory over Liverpool.
