Sevilla’s Luis Muriel chooses Fiorentina over Milan

Out-of-favour Sevilla striker Luis Muriel has decided to join Fiorentina in a permanent deal instead of Milan, according to reports.

Marca cite Italian transfer guru Gianluca Di Marzio as reporting the striker had personally opted to move to the Florence-based club.

It had been reported that he was set to join the Rossoneri on a loan deal but he will instead join Fiorentina in a reported €12m move.

The Colombian joined Los Rojiblancos in the summer of 2017 in a €21.6m deal from Sampdoria but has fallen behind Wissam Ben Yedder and Andre Silva in the attacking preferences for Coach Pablo Machin.

Earlier this week, Marca reported on the player’s agent Alessandro Lucci has informed Sevilla of the interest from the Milanese giants, who failed in their attempt to re-sign Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Lucci also represents Milan duo Suso and Bertolacci, while relations between the clubs are amicable following the recent loan move of Andre Silva to the Andalusian club.
