Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo has stated goalkeeper Jan Oblak has ‘renewed’ his contract with the club.
During a radio interview on Monday the president was asked about the future of the Slovenian shot-stopper, who has been linked with moves away from the club.
“My understanding is Oblak has renewed with us, if you did not know,” Cerezo told Radio Marca.
It is not clear if Cerezo was referring to a new deal signed by the former Benfica goalkeeper or back to the extension he signed with Atleti in 2016.
Oblak’s contract in Madrid runs until June 2021.
