Osasuna boss Joaquin Caparros believes he can ‘find a solution’ to end his side’s poor run of form after they slipped to defeat at fellow strugglers Sporting Gijon.
Two goals from Carlos Carmona and another from Barcelona-owned Douglas gave Sporting their first league win in eleven as Osasuna slipped to the bottom of the table for the first time this season.
“We can find a solution to this, don’t forget we still have not played the first full round of matches,” the 61-year-old told reporters after the match.
“It is true that with each passing round our situation becomes a little more complicated but we must keep working and keep fighting.
“All defeats hurt us – we could have done better in the final third today and taken more of our chances but Sporting played very well and deserved to win.
“Our effort and spirit was there today, but we must do more at both ends of the pitch to start getting results.”
