Sergio Ramos has reflected that he is unsure whether or not his being dropped from the team last week as a punishment.
The defender was back in the team this Monday night for his side’s 2-0 win at Rayo Vallecano, after missing the midweek Champions League clash with Manchester City, rumoured to have been for a falling out with Jose Mourinho.
“Maybe it was a punishment, I don’t know, don’t ask me, these are technical matters,” he reflected in the mixed zone after today’s game.
“This is my family and family matter are settled behind closed doors. I am Real Madrid and this club runs through my blood, whatever happens this stays with me.
“I am looking forward to continuing to contribute and after all, we all love to play and today I am happy to be back in the starting XI.”
