United are on the lookout for a new manager after sacking Ole Gunnar Solskjaer over the weekend.

According to Fabrizio Romano, United have made ‘direct contact’ with former Barcelona boss Valverde.
Valverde has been out of work since leaving Barcelona in 2020, though intentionally, the former Blaugrana boss taking a break.
United may be a tempting challenge for him, but according to the report, he would only be considered as an interim option.
The Reds are said to be open to hiring an interim boss until the end of the season, though it is unclear whether Valverde would consider taking such a temporary role.
