Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde is said to have arrived at the club’s training ground for the final time as the club’s Coach.
As outlined by El Mundo Deportivo, Valverde arrived to the Blaugrana’s Sant Joan Despí facilities this morning – three hours ahead of the commencement of training on Monday.
It is said in El Mundo Deportivo that Valverde’s position in the Camp Nou hotseat is in serious danger after a lengthy meeting on Sunday night between those in charge of the club, while journalist Carles Escalan states the Coach appears to be in his 'final hours' at the club.
Josep Maria Bartomeu – the club’s president – is now due to meet Valverde today in another crunch meeting after talking with the club’s CEO Oscar Grau, transfer chief Eric Abidal, his assistant Ramon Planes and Javier Bordas.
The first-team squad of the Catalan giants were given a three-day break from training following their 3-2 Spanish Supercopa semi-final defeat at the hands of Atletico Madrid on Thursday.
