Barcelona eye Milan striker Krzysztof Piatek

Barcelona have identified Milan striker Krzysztof Piatek as they seek a long-term replacement for Luis Suarez, report Calciomercato.

The Poland international was a goalscoring sensation in his first campaign in Italy last season, netting 22 goals across spells with Genoa and the Milanese giants.

He joined AC in a €36m switch from Genoa in January and continued his devastating form in front of goal, but has only found the net three times in his last 13 appearances in Serie A.

The fresh report claims that the Blaugrana could move for the frontman as early as January as they seek to pre-empt the future departure of Suarez.

The Uruguayan’s form has been questioned in recent months but he has scored three goals in just four league starts so far this campaign.

Suarez also scored 25 goals last season but there have been suggestions that he will be replaced by Camp Nou officials in the coming months.
