Espanyol set for Sevilla’s Sebastian Corchia

Espanyol are closing on the season-long loan signing of Sevilla defender Sebastian Corchia, as reported by Diario de Sevilla.

The 28-year-old joined the Andalusians in the summer of 2017 from Lille but featured in only 20 matches in his first campaign before being loaned out to Benfica.

Sevilla signed the defender from Ligue 1 for a €5m fee but he now looks set for yet another exit as Los Rojiblancos aim to create room in their squad.

This is despite the loan exit of another right-sided defender – Aleix Vidal – who joined Alaves on a loan deal for the campaign.

Jesus Navas is now the primary choice for right-back at the club this season with Corchia closing in on a move to the RCDE Stadium.
