Juventus meeting for Barcelona defender Juan Miranda

Juventus are hopeful of concluding a deal to sign Barcelona’s teenage full-back Juan Miranda, according to El Mundo Deportivo.

The report claims the Old Lady’s sporting director Fabio Paratici is in the Catalan capital to discuss the defender’s future with there being hope a deal can be concluded.

There are also suggestions that Juve defender Daniele Rugani could potentially be going the other way with a move to the Camp Nou a possibility.

The 19-year-old, a native of Andalusia, began his career at Real Betis before joining the youth system of the Catalan giants aged 14.

The left-back made four first-team appearances for Ernesto Valverde’s side last season including the Champions League group stage game at home to Tottenham in December.

However, he did not feature in La Liga for the Blaugrana with Jordi Alba the club’s established left-back, while the club have now also signed Junior Firpo in the position.

Miranda has starred for Barca B this campaign with previous report claiming Betis technical secretary Pedro Buenaventura has extensively scouted the Spain youth international.
