Granada CF announce Winamax as 2019-20 sponsor

La Liga new boys Granada CF have announced sports betting company Winamax as their club sponsor.

The Andalucian club will have the company's logo on their shirt for all La Liga fixtures in the upcoming season, with the 'W' symbol in use for the first team in time for their first game at Villarreal on August 17.

The company, which is based in France, has responded to criticism from some supporter groups towards a betting company providing sponsorship by stating they will be invoking a new responsible gambling programme before the season kicks off.

How much investment they will provide remains to be seen, with Granada coach Diego Martinez previously confirming that the lack of a sponsor was harming his ability to buy new players.

So far, Granda have spent the lowest amount on transfers ahead of the 2019-20 campaign, with just over €6m spent on Fede Vico, Yan Brice, Domingos Duarte and Darwin Machis.
