Atletico Madrid defender Stefan Savic had a high-profile fallout with the club’s fitness coach Oscar Ortega ahead of their loss to Juventus, report Diario AS.
The incident is reported to have taken place following Atleti’s 1-0 home win over Leganes last weekend, with the defender shouting at the coach: “Say it to may face, you rat.”
The pair reportedly had to be split up from coming to fist fighting after Ortega reportedly said ‘he does not move too much’ about the Montenegrin, which the player took exception to.
Savic is also said to have thrown a boot at ‘Professor Ortega’ in the latest indication that the players and coaching staff are at odds over their fitness sessions.
Players of Los Rojiblancos are said to have criticised the sessions for burning them out and leading to fatigue in Tuesday’s 3-0 defeat at Juventus in the Champions League.
