Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde believes his side are in great shape in this season's Champions League, after beating Lyon 5-1 in their last 16 second leg.
The 2015 winners swept past Bruno Genesio's side with a dominant performance, and the former Athletic Bilbao boss praised the mental attitude of his players.
"We are very focused in the Champions League this year.
"But we know how difficult it is, and the level of our rivals is very high.
"Messi is very focused in this competition, and so is the rest of the squad."
Barcelona will find out their quarter final opponents after Friday's draw, and Valverde acknowledges that it will be tough, whoever they are drawn against.
"It is impossible to single one side out (as the strongest opponent), as each side deserves to be in the quarter final.
"Whichever team we get, it will be complicated to progress."
