Girona striker Cristhian Stuani has signed a new contract with the club – committing until 2022.
The 32 year-old had been linked with a move to Catalan neighbours Barcelona during the January transfer window, however no bid materialised from Ernesto Valverde's side.
The Uruguayan international has been the subject of interest from clubs across La Liga, after his impressive goal scoring form since signing for the club following their promotion to La Liga in 2017.
He netted 21 goals in league action last season, and he has 13 in league and cup action so far in 2018-19, as Girona look to extend their stay in the top flight to three seasons.
Only Barcelona's Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi have scored more than the former Middlesbrough forward in La Liga this season.
