Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic has reminded club president Josep Bartomeu that he wants to sign a contract extension with the club.
The Croatian international is in negotiations to sign a new deal at the Nou Camp, with his current deal expiring in 2021, and he confirmed after Wednesday's Copa del Rey quarter final win over former club Sevilla that talks are ongoing.
"I have always said that I want to stay here (at Barcelona) and I will say it again and again.
"I'm more than happy here and my intention is to stay even longer. I gave the president a little reminder to see if he could get my renewal going."
The 30 year-old added that is always difficult to play against his former team, but he is hopeful of facing and beating Real Betis in the final as a gesture of his ongoing loyalty to Sevilla.
