Rayo Vallecano forward Gael Kakuta is close to sealing a return to former club Amiens, according to reports in L'Equipe this morning.
The Congolese international joined Rayo for a second time this summer – after a loan spell in Madrid in the 2014-15 season – for an undisclosed fee, from Chinese Super League side Hebei Chinese Fortune.
The 27 year-old has enjoyed a nomdic career to date, including spells in France, the Netherlands, Italy and Spain, before spending last season on loan at Ligue 1 side Amiens.
He is reportedly unsettled in Spain, with his family keen on a return to France and a deal could be pushed through before the closure of the transfer window tonight.
Rayo are believed to have rejected an initial bid of €1.5m for the former Chelsea youth team prospect, who has made just nine La Liga appearances this season, and a loan deal is on the table, with the option of a permanent €2.5m deal in the summer.
