Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde says that his focus will now be on the Copa del Rey, after their 2-0 La Liga win over Girona.
Valverde was speaking after the game, as the defending La Liga champions reclaimed their five point lead at the top of the table, thanks to a first goal for the club for Nelson Semedo and Lionel Messi's 19th league goal of 2018-19.
However the former Athletic Bilbao boss told Catalan radio station Carrusel Deportivo that his attention will now shift to overturning their Copa del Rey deficiet against Sevilla on Wednesday night.
"A win today was a very important step, but now our focus is on Wednesday.
"We made changes (for the first leg) as did Girona (for their game against Real Madrid), and yes we do have three games in six days, but our interest now, is in the Copa."
A much changed Barcelona lost 2-0 away at Sevilla in the first leg, with Messi and Sergio Busquets amongst those rested, with both players expected to start in the second leg at the Nou Camp.
