Tottenham ‘negotiation with Barcelona’ for transfer of Malcom

Tottenham are negotiating the signing of out-of-favour Barcelona forward Malcom on loan with a compulsory option to buy, reports Diario Sport.

The 21-year-old has struggled for playing time since his €41m arrival from Bordeaux this summer, starting just one game in La Liga and none in the Champions League.

Spurs are struggling for attacking options with Harry Kane injured until March and Heung-Min Son unavailable due to his participation in the Asian Cup.

The Brazilian forward has been left out of Ernesto Valverde’s matchday squad for the Copa del Rey clash against Levante – the second match in succession where he will not feature at all.

Previous reports claim ‘several clubs in England and Italy’ are monitoring the situation, while there is also said to be reported interest in the play from China.
