Celta Vigo fans denied meeting with club captains

A group of 20 Celta Vigo fans had their request to speak to the club’s captains at a closed training session denied, report Cadena Cope.

The Galician side have slipped to 17th in La Liga, just one place above the relegation zone, with Friday’s 4-2 defeat at Rayo Vallecano seen as particularly damaging.

The group of fans requested they speak to the clubs’ captains – Hugo Mallo, Iago Aspas, Sergio Alvarez, Gustavo Cabral – to discuss the poor form and dynamic of the team.

Celta have added just one point across their last four league games and the fans are reported to have shouted at the players: ‘do not dirty this badge’ and ‘we want more attitude’.
