Valencia sporting director Mateu Alemany has confirmed Michy Batshuayi will cut short his season-long loan deal and return to Chelsea.
Batshuayi has netted just one goal in four La Liga starts at the Mestalla in a frustrating season for the striker, where he has failed to settle at Los Che.
“The player knows this and we hope that soon it can be solved for the good of all the parties,” Alemany told a press conference on Thursday.
The 25-year-old former Marseille striker has 12 goals in 23 senior caps for his country but has struggled to replicate that form at club level.
Valencia boss Marcelino said earlier this week: “We need signings up front and in some cases our patience has run out.”
The Daily Mail say London duo Crystal Palace and West Ham are options for the striker for the second half of the campaign.
