La Liga line-ups: Villarreal-Real Madrid

Casemiro returns for Real Madrid's first game of 2019 against Villarreal in La Liga this evening.

Casemiro had been sidelined with an ankle injury, forcing him to miss Madrid's last four League games, but he replaces Marcos Llorente, who has a muscle tear.

Elsewhere, Santiago Solari names a near-full strength XI, with the back four picking itself and Isco continuing on the substitutes' bench, although Mariano Diaz and Marco Asensio remain out.

Villarreal, meanwhile, are a point adrift of safety and drew 1-1 with Huesca in Luis Garcia's first match at the helm before Christmas.

The game is being played now due to Los Blancos' Club World Cup commitments last month, which led to its rearrangement.
