Roma will ask Chelsea if they can take striker Michy Batshuayi on loan and prematurely ending his stint at Valencia, according to reports.
There are reports in Italy that the Giallorossi’s Patrik Schick may leave the club in January and the Belgian international has been identified as a replacement.
The 25-year-old former Marseille striker has 12 goals in 23 senior caps for his country but has struggled to replicate that form at club level.
Batshuayi is currently on a season-long loan deal at the Mestalla but has started just four La Liga games this season, netting one goal.
Chelsea signed the striker from Marseille in a €39m deal in 2016, while he also spent time on loan at Borussia Dortmund last season.
Batshuayi would reportedly only come to Roma on loan if Schick were to be farmed out in January, as he is close to his old club Sampdoria.
