Defender Raphael Varane insists Real Madrid must ‘know how to suffer’ if they are to have a ‘good season’.
The Frenchman was speaking following a week where Los Blancos edged narrow victories over Huesca and Rayo Vallecano, but fell to a heavy defeat against CSKA Moscow in the Champions League.
“To make this a good season we have to know how to suffer,” Varane told BeIn Sports after his side edged to a 1-0 victory over Rayo Vallecano.
“We had the opportunity to kill the game in the first half and we did not, but we worked well to win three important points.
“We are going to the Club World Cup with a lot of enthusiasm, we are going to give our best.”
