Tottenham Hotspur have quoted Real Madrid a €250m fee for playmaker Christian Eriksen, according to a report in Marca.
The report states officials at the European champions see the Denmark playmaker as a long-term replacement for Luka Modric, whom they also signed from Spurs.
The Croatian star is currently aged 33 and has been linked with a move to Inter, while set-piece expert Eriksen is seven years younger.
The Denmark international’s contract in North London will expire in June 2020 so is now close to entering the final 18 months of his deal, suggesting any financial demands from Spurs may reduce.
Eriksen joined Spurs from Dutch club Ajax in the summer of 2013 and has scored 58 goals in 240 appearances since, while winning 83 caps for Denmark.
