Real Madrid want Zlatan Ibrahimovic in January

Real Madrid are eyeing a January move for Zlatan Ibrahimovic who will be a free agent as his LA Galaxy expires, reports Cadena Cope.

According to the Tiempo de Juego programme, Madrid believe the Swedish striker would be the perfect fit for their team and give them a short-term solution to their striking problem.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s exit has left a shortage of goals at Los Blancos and Marcelo’s strike against Levante on Saturday ensured the club avoided a fifth consecutive goalless outing.

Now 37, Ibrahimovic has netted 22 goals in just 25 appearances for the MLS side having joined from Manchester United at the start of the year.

The striker previously joined Barcelona in 2009 and hit 22 goals across 46 appearances for the club.
