Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane has said he is targeting a fourth successive Champions League title this season.
The French defender has been involved in each of the last three success for Los Blancos on the European stage, and was speaking at FIFA’s The Best awards on Monday night.
“Nobody believed we could win a third Champions League, so why not a fourth,” Varane – who was voted into the FIFA Team of the Year – is cited as saying by Marca.
“Last season was impressive, and I am delighted to be recognised in these awards but this is because of the great teams of Real Madrid and France.
“I never thought I would be in these types of awards.”
