Radoja’s Celta future uncertain

Nemanja Radoja’s future as a Celta Vigo player is in doubt after the Serbian failed to secure a move in the transfer window.

The central midfielder is still training with the first team but had set his heart on a move to the Premier League.

However, despite strong interest from both Brighton and West Ham United, a deal failed to materialise and the 25-year-old is now desperately searching for a club before the window closes in Spain on August 31.

Marca understands that Radoja had rejected overtures from French, Italian and Russian football in favour of a move to England, having already informed Celta he would not be renewing a contract that expires next year.

If he does eventually remain with the Galicians he has also reportedly been told by the board that he will not be considered for selection.

The 25-year-old joined the Galician club four years ago from Vojvodina but fell out of prominence under Juan Carlos Unzue last season, starting just 11 La Liga matches.
