‘Ivi’ joins Valladolid on loan

Real Valladolid have announced that Ivan Lopez or ‘Ivi’ will be joining the club on a season-long loan from Levante.

The former Getafe striker only arrived at the Ciutat de Valencia last summer from Sevilla B, having agreed to a four-year contract for a reported fee of €1.5m.

However, Marca states that the 24-year-old does not enter into the plans of Levante boss Paco Lopez and has decided to try his luck with recently-promoted Valladolid, where he is hoping to get more regular first-team football.

Ivi played a total of 29 league games for Los Granotas last term, scoring four goals, but since the sacking of Juan Ramon Muniz in March this year he has failed to hold down a starting place under current Coach Lopez.
