Samuel Umtiti has reiterated that he wants to sign a new contract with Barcelona. “They’ll have to kick me out!”
Umtiti already confirmed his desire to renew with Barca on Saturday, and the defender emphasised his preference in a subsequent interview with L’Equipe.
“It’s clear that I want to renew with Barcelona and I hope to be with the team next season,” said the defender.
“I’m at a club who have made my dreams come true. Right now I have a contract in force and for me to go, they’ll have to kick me out, unless I decide to leave!”
Despite the Frenchman still having three years left on his current deal, his release clause stands at only €65m, prompting several Premier League sides to be linked with an approach.
