Celta Vigo are close to completing the season-long loan signing of Real Madrid midfielder Lucas Silva, according to reports.
Brazilian media outlet UOL Esporte state the 25-year-old is close to linking up with the Galician side, due to his desire to return to European football.
The deep-lying midfielder has been on loan at Cruzeiro in his native country, having originally left the Brazilian club to join Madrid in January 2015 in a reported €14m deal.
Silva has spent two seasons back at Cruzeiro having also enjoyed a stint on loan at French giants Marseille, and he looks set to be the first signing of Antonio Mohamed’s rein at Celta.
